Leland practices both complex commercial litigation and transactional law. His experience includes the transactional practice group of a large firm, and litigation support at a well-regarded appellate firm. He has worked on multi-million dollar mergers and acquisitions, and acted as contract in-house counsel to a multi-national manufacturer.
Leland has worked on appeals ranging from complex commercial to the death penalty. He also has first chair trial experience, and has given oral arguments before Florida county and circuit appellate courts.
Leland is licensed to practice in both Florida and Iowa. He earned his undergraduate from Eckerd College and his graduate degrees include both a J.D. and an MBA in Finance from the University of Florida. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Medical Specialist.
